I’m glad for him & his win, but damn! He first shelled out 600 clams just killing time! And only after playing for 40 minutes??? Could that slot machine already have been waiting to burst??? I’m perplexed, especially because this was a penny slot. Could the machine have been malfunctioning??? Wait–he goes to Borgata every week?? Y’know, I’m just gonna walk away from this one, as I have from soooo many slot machines.
@itinkle – Gambling has progressed but the tax laws haven’t. For example, card players don’t get taxed until they reach $10,000 at one session, but slot players pay tax on any jackpot of $1200 or more. Not all states tax winnings, and rates vary from state to state. Federal tax laws allow players to deduct losses and expenses, but many state tax laws do not. Play lower denominations machines and you have less chance of winning a taxable jackpot.
@TheKingofSlots I can’t believe you guys get taxed on your winnings. Basically there is no point gambling in the states then right? You lose, you get nothing. You win, you still gotta pay? That’s gotta be the dumbest system I’ve ever heard. What the hell is a withholding tax supposed to mean? You win, so pay me too?
Did he buy her the pants … or the whole shop ??? So random , I was gonna buy pants, mmm shop closed … sat down … played a few pennies … and i won jackpot . Nice summary
@armani242009 Aww. I hope you are doing better now. Your profile says you are only 24. You still have a LOT of life yet to live so get some help if you have a gambling problem and you will have many happy years to come.
Lucky Bastard! It took him $600 Dollars. Now if he did not win he can buy a lot of pants with that..I sit and play for 5 hours on a penny machine and can’t even witn the progressive 5 grand :/
Incorrect. You get to choose if you want cash or an annuity payment, 20 or 30 years spread out. If you choose cash, you may take it all or part cash part check. You are liable for taxes, but you choose payment. You may also choose if you want taxes taken out or not. [If you choose not, you will be liable for them at tax time].
he is being “paid by hand”??? thats not possible. nowadays, the agent will give you a claim form and you’ll get a check in the mail after witholding tax.
I was at the Borgata yesterday, and I won $294 off a penny slot. I was actually wasting time, waiting for my friend to book her hotel room, and I put a 5 in the Cleopatra machine, next to the Pharoah machine, and I got lucky on the first hit.
Lol i just earned easy 330 $ thnx to RouletteSecret site!
I just got an info how to get 50 $ daily, and it looks promising, check Roulette Secret site

It’s the thrill and fun. If he didn’t gamble, how could he have won that almost $800K. Gotta pay to play and playing pays off HUGE this time.
Good idea…go on television and show everyone you won money…
